“A successful artist who painted portraits, landscapes, and nudes, signing his paintings as ‘Walton C. Titus.’ He was living in Colorado Springs, Colorado when at 18 he won a scholarship from the New York Art Students League. He attended the National Academy of Design in New York and the Chouinard Art School in California. As a portrait artist he served New York society for years, and was a member of the Board of Governors of the National Arts Club of New York.

During World War II he became an engineer and used his art in the war effort. After the war he found himself doing very little painting as he cared for his mother in his home. He had been a commercial artist in New York and then in California. He taught Commercial illustration at Frank Wiggins School in California.
